Remember this?  When I thought my flowers were ruined?
Look at them now!  They're not ruined afterall!

I was out taking a few pics of Kissy.  She's going to be a surprise
birthday present for a little girl.  They're coming to meet her next weekend.

Sure beats an iPod.
Annie and Kissy are trying to stay cool in the heat.  The temps here have been around 101 lately.

This is how Leo feels about the heat.
He hates it.

Don't worry, they're in the shade and lay where the sprinkler hits them.
And they aren't out there all day.  We bring them in in the late afternoon and they sleep inside at night.

This is the longest I've seen them up and awake,

and even playing!

Leo met his human mommy this weekend.

It really wore him out.  But his mommy was excited!
Aren't they cute together?

Speaking of cute together, we went camping too.  This is my boys and our friends' boy winding down in the camper after a day at the lake.

And here the boys are eating donuts...like that's just what they need.

The puppies?  Oh, yeah.
My mom came and took care of everyone while we were away.

But we came home to puppies all over the kitchen!  They climbed out of their bed.

And I think this one peed on my floor!!

So after I swept up 3 days worth of dog hair we moved them to our outside pen.

Has this ever happened to you?
Your dad pulls up in his horse and buggy...

loads up your children,
and drives off?
No?
Huh.  Well, maybe the only ones who can relate to this don't have internet access,
or electricity,
or running water.
Well, this all went down at the same time I was trying to take pictures of the puppies.
This is Huck and Kissy.

Huck was very curious.

Sandy wanted to make sure she stayed clean while outside.

These are the sleepiest puppies ever!

But look how well they're walking at 3 weeks of age.  Even if it is right off the table.

This is Bubby Girl.  She was VERY sleepy too.

I tried putting her in the grass to wake her up but it didn't help.

My boys came back!  And they picked up my mom on the way I guess.

The pictures went downhill from there.  I brought Leo out but the dogs weren't distracted with the horse anymore and the boys had the water hose.

So I couldn't put Leo down, it just wasn't safe.  Plus, he was too sleepy anyway.

Happy Friday!

 Happy Late Father's Day!
Huck spent his Father's Day with the ladies and ignoring his offspring.
I'm not convinced he never even thought about his offspring once.
Don't judge him though, I don't think I wished him a Happy Father's Day so he probably didn't even know it was Father's Day.
Heck, he may not even know he's a father.
 Anyway, about the puppies...
Still not much going on at the dog farm.

But our puppy, Annie, is learning how to be a good mommy.
The dark one is Bubby Girl, the middle, light one is Leo Huggy, and the other light one is referred to as Kissy.

We're hoping it's good practice for the future.

She can't wait for them to get up and play either.

Neither can my son.  He's holding Leo.
Funny little story about my son...
He has been going to Big Church with us and yesterday (Father's Day) our pastor was reading a poem called I Wish My Dad Were a Dog.
It was about a kid whose dad didn't have time to play with him and the kid thought it would be nice if his dad were actually a dog.
My son's comment to that statement:
He wants his dad to be a dog????  Why would ANYONE need ANOTHER dog?

We were trying to get a shot of their eyes slightly open.
Leo

But they are still very sleepy.
Leo, again.

And this one has a lazy eye.
Leo
What?  He likes Leo.

Still not capturing the cuteness.
Kissy

There, that's pretty cute.  Except one has already fallen back to sleep.
Leo and Kissy

My son also examined their mouths and informed me their teeth are coming in.  I didn't check but I'll take his word on it.

Failure to Blog

I haven't been much of a blogger lately.  But again, the pups don't do much.
I don't look for them to start doing much for at least another week.

We've also had family visiting.  My cousin from Kansas City was here and loves to "Cowboy Up."

Which left little time for loving on the puppies.
Here we are on a trail ride to Wilson's Creek
National Battlefield.
Wait...
sorry...
this blog is about the puppies.  Well, I'm sure they slept while we were gone.

Here are my boys and my dad coming back from floating and fishing at the river.
And here's my cousin doing what she loves doing when she's here.
The puppies...I KNOW!  Well, they have begun to open their eyes!  Let the cuteness begin!!!
