About Us

We thought it might be good to let you know a little about us.  We're located in the hills of Webster County, Missouri.  Having grown up in the area (Maria particularly) we were thrilled when our place became available.  Maria grew up with horses, cows, dogs, and a variety of other animals but Sam hadn't, and couldn't wait to have some of his own.

We both became school teachers.  Sam teaches
P.E. and coaches almost year round. Maria
gave up her teaching job after our second
son was born.  

Between Maria's parents and us we own about
thirteen horses!

The horses have a pretty good life out
here, too.

We also enjoy riding them and as you can
see, so do the dogs!

Cattle frequently graze our property, 

and sometimes our driveway,

and our yard.

We wondered what we could do out here that would make it easier for Maria to be home while keeping the boys involved and also possibly benefiting others.  So far the dogs have been a perfect fit for us.  We have a place that can accommodate the dogs while still allowing them an enjoyable life.  Plus, we have been able to meet some wonderful people through them!  After this first litter we have come to find out that this kind of environment is exactly the place future pet owners want.  So, while we can't promise a show dog or strong hunter (although it's possible) you can be sure your puppy will have been loved from the day he/she was born!
