Past Litters & Comments

This is the most unorganized page on this blog.  I apologize, every time I try to post pictures they come up wherever they wish and I get too frustrated trying to move them.  So, just focus on the pictures okay, and not where they are located.

Their vet weighted them last Friday morning --- Mac weighed 62.2 lbs. and Nikki weighed 48.4 lbs. Not sure what Mac would weigh if he wasn't such a reluctant/picky eater. I'm 5'9 and he's so tall I can pat him on the head without leaning over. He's a big boy! My husband (sitting with them) is 6'3".(Mac and Nikki at 2 months old and today at 1 week short of 7 months old.)

"
I absolutely LOVE that dog. She is the sweetest kindest animal. "
Apolla
(Candy's litter)
"Apolla at 7 months old and about 55lbs. She knows sit, stay, down, off, out, give, drop, and melt (she will literally melt onto the floor for a belly rub :). Very patient and loves all she meets! Even knows when to bring me a toy to get me to take a break from studying... or a blanket for bedtime after long hours hitting the books! Couldn't have asked for a better dog!"

Mac and Nikki got to go home together.
They are doing great!

Six years ago our beloved golden retriever died. We love dogs and we especially love big dogs. Until we learned about Finley River Retrievers, we weren't even tempted to select another golden. The more we found out about Sam and Maria Waterman, the more we knew that theirs was the right home from which to find our new golden retriever. The care, the love, the attention and the family environment in which these puppies came into the world could not have been more perfect for us. To get a photographic record of our two puppies from birth to the day we took our dogs home is remarkable. We will always cherish these photos, and we will retain a fondness in our hearts for the Waterman family all of our puppies lives.

"Mowgli (aka lightning) enjoying some playtime

down by the mighty Mississippi."

He has such a great calm temperament (so many people have commented on this).  Mowgli has made so many friends.  Socialization is not an issue with him, and I credit that to him being around not only his parents, but other dogs since birth.  He cracks us up though because he only loves big dogs, the small dogs terrify him.  Mowgli has done so well with his training.  He can sit, lay, stay, shake, high five, and get in his crate.    Thank so much for giving us such a sweet and loving little puppy.

"How could you resist this face!?!"
